The Natural Fertility Centre team offers Acupuncture, Hypnotherapy, Nutritional Therapy, Western Herbal Medicine and Fertility Advice. Our statistics have shown that a combination of therapies can increase the success rate of both natural and assisted conception and we are the leading specialised complementary fertility centre in Scotland. Our specialist practitioners work in Napiers Herbal Healthcare, 61 Cresswell Street, Glasgow G12 8AD. We provide an alternative or addition to assisted fertility treatment. Some couples approach us when they are just starting to try for a baby and we offer advice to couples who are interested in preconception care. 50% of our patients are using IVF and find that regular acupuncture sessions help them to cope with any hormonal side-effects as well as the strains of undergoing assisted conception procedures. We also offer pre- and post-embryo transfer acupuncture/hypnotherapy treatments at the IVF clinics where possible. We see many patients whose issues are more than just physical. In fact, most of our patients benefit greatly from learning techniques to deal with stress and other emotional issues associated with infertility and especially when undergoing Assisted Reproductive Techniques such as IVF. Hypnotherapy is recommended as a powerful way to dissolve any physical and emotional barriers to conception, full-term pregnancy, and to becoming a parent. Hypnotherapy encourages you to develop a positive attitude which aids conception and a successful pregnancy. It can also help calm anxiety levels in general especially during medical procedures. Most commonly couples come to us with high levels of stress and poor nutritional intake. Hypnotherapy can be useful where stress or emotional issues are affecting one's ability to conceive and our nutritionists can advise you on how to adjust the mineral and vitamin levels in your body to maximise fertility for men and women. Many couples have 'unexplained' infertility and we need to make a full assessment of where the problem might lie; other couples have a very particular issue which we can focus on. As well as specialist treatments, you will also receive comprehensive information and guidance on your fertility queries. When you book your Intake Session we will work on a treatment plan which combines therapies to best suit your needs. Our Glasgow team meets regularly to assess your progress and to alter the treatment plan as necessary.
